How does it work?
The Bottle Popper is a push-down bottle opener. Simply place the opener over the bottle, push down and then up with a rhythmic motion and the cap will pop right off the bottle. If you do it just right, the cap will hang on the magnet at the bottom of the opener.
Does it work on twist-offs?
Yes, the Bottle Popper will work on twist-off crown caps as well as most traditional crown caps.
Is it guaranteed to work on all bottles?
Unfortunately, there are a few bottle designs that restrict the Bottle Popper's spring mechanism from working properly. Examples include Red Stripe, Stella, and the aluminum bottles from Anheuser-Busch. We have also heard that the new Michelob Light bottle causes problems because of the size of the lip below the bottle cap. However, the majority of bottles work fine.
How long will it last?
Under normal use, your Bottle Popper should last for years; opening hundreds of your favorite beverages. The worst thing you can do is TWIST a Bottle Popper. Do NOT twist. Simply push down and pop off. Twisting will damage the spring mechanism inside the opener.
Is the Bottle Popper made in Japan?
YES. We are the US distributors of the authentic Japanese Sentol opener. A true "Bottle Popper" will have markings that say "Made in Japan".
Are there imitation products?
YES. As mentioned above, our product will have markings on the base of the opener saying "Made in Japan or the old Sentol patent information (which is now expired). Imitation products are typically made in China. The "My Top Off" opener seen on TV is an imitation product. While imitation is a form of flattery, you get what you pay for in terms of reliability and durability.
